- You need to look on the internet for Formule1 hotels and also Etap hotels. They are usualy a prefabricated motel building provideing very basic but incredibly cheap rooms. The Formule1 has showers and toilets at the end of each corridor whereas the Etap has an en-suite bathroom for each room. I use these motels as a stopover when i travel through France. A room that has a double bed and a single bed costs about 25-30 GBpounds a night and a little more in the cities.
- There are about 15 Best Western hotels in Paris. Generally, the hotels with names you recognize are newer (Hilton, Best Western, Sheraton (haven't seen a Travelodge in Europe)), with bigger rooms and showers in all the rooms - but also, they usually don't have the good locations that the hotels that have been around for 200 years have.
- You can get a list of cheap hotels in Paris here : http://www.lookotel.com/france_ile%20de%20france_paris_c782194_Cheap+Hotel+Paris They all are indepedant hotels with their own webwsite (you'll find their URL on my site) so you can get more pictures and more info.
